1996 P& P Welsh Sports & Saloon Car Championship
Martin Davies becomes the only driver so far to win the Welsh Championship 3 times in a row but faces a stiff challenge from the Darrian T9 Kawasaki of Terry Brown (who scores fewer points due to a lack of entries in his class) and the 4wd Sapphire Cosworth of Mike Schmidt in a classic final race cliff-hanger. At the same time there were battles for Class C & Class B. In Class Larry Phillips and Nigel Jones were at it hammer tongs and ended up tied on points! Jones eventually won the Class as he had more class wins! Nigel Bowen won Class B after coming through the field after practice dramas. See the 1996 Finale in Pictures.PDF
