WRDA Results Archive - Page1 1991 to 2001

 

This new archive will contain Race Results and Programmes from the early years up to the current time.

Hope you like it! I cant say it's 100% complete, but it's still pretty extensive

N.B Where there are gaps, if anyone has any old programmes or results sheets covering those gaps then please let us know,

 

  1990 - Welsh Championship Results Blake Edwards becomes champion after single race shoot out - Open single seaters a big hit at Midland A C event
 1991 Welsh Championship Results- Blake Edwards wins in the WSSCCs' 1st Year as an MSA Registered Championship  
 1992 Welsh Championship Results Colin Gundersen wins overall title with his Porsche 911 RS after a clean sweep of Class B and an end of      season    overall race win - Martin Davies wins Class A and is 2nd overall - Alvin Powell enters the Welsh Championship for the first time 
 1993 Welsh Championship Results  Ken Davies wins in a Porsche 924 as the Championship expands to new venues -  Martin Davies retains Class A.   Keith Butcher & Glynne Jones enter the Welsh Championship for the first time.  Keith wins Class C
 1994 Welsh Championship Results - Martin Davies debuts his new Ford Seirra Sapphire turbo in the Production Class on treaded tyres, but soon switches to Slick Tyres and doesnt look back. Nigel James in his RS2000 keeps him honest.
 1995 Welsh Championship Results - Martin Davies retains his title - P & P sponsor the Championship
 1996 Welsh Championship Results - Martin Davies becomes the only driver so far to win the Welsh Championship 3 times in a row but faces a stiff challenge from the Darrian T9 Kawasaki of Terry Brown and the 4wd Sapphire Cosworth of Mike Schmidt
  1997 Welsh Championship  Results - Peter Dark wins by one point in dramatic Championship finale! - Alvin Powell gives his new Mondeo its debut! 
 1998 Welsh Championship Results -  Mark Chandler becomes the first driver to take the Welsh Championship title out of Wales!

 1999 Welsh Championship Results - Graham Cole and Alvin Powell tie on points - Cole wins after tie break count back!

  2000 Welsh Championship Results - Clive Hayes wins as Radicals start to appear in the Welsh Championship! The WRDA becomes the first Welsh club in over 20 years to oganise a race meeting on June 10th 2000!

  2001 Welsh Championship Results - Terry Brown wins the championship, and sets first sub-60 seconds lap time! Starts the year with a Skoda    Special with a 5 Litre Chevy V8 and ends it with a LM3000 with a 2.9 Ford V6! Geraint Rees, Keith White & Patrick Havill make their debuts 

 

2002 to 2012 N.b the section from 2005 to 2007 does have some gaps, but it's still pretty extensive
