(left Jason Davies lays down the rubber as he piles the pressure on Lucas as Alvin & Rhys loom large!)

Lucas Ordonnez, who raced with us in the Welsh Championship as part of his efforts to upgrade his license having won the inaugural Nissan Playstation Academy in 2008, is now a geniune champion having won the 2013 Pro-Am Driver's Championhip in the Blancpain Watches GT3 championship! Team manager Bob Neville also masterminded Nissan GT Academy Team RJN to the Pro-Am Teams Championship which is the first win for the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3. Well done Lucas!

(left - Tim in 1985) WRDA founder member, Tim Davies from Lampeter who became the first Welsh driver since Jack Lewis in 1958 to win a British championship, when he won the British Formula Ford 2000 championship in 1983; has proved there is plenty of life left in him by returning to the track and winning the HSCC By Box Historic Touring Car Championship in a Mk1 Lotus Cortina, beating Neil Brown the engine supplier who provided Tim with power for this 1983 title, and his former Team Boss Richard Dutton. Watch out for more on Tim in the new Press Cuttings section of the new Results Archive

 (Right - Tim now!)

By the way, Richard Dutton has links to current Welsh racers Matt Parry & Seb Morris, proving it's a small world.

Speaking of Matt Parry, he now has a trio of awards after picking the BBC Wales Carwyn Jones trophy to add to his WRDA Welsh Young Driver of the Year, and the Autopsort McLaren awards!  http://www.mattparryracing.co.uk/

Seb Morris is set to follow his path by taking part in the Formula Renault Northen European Championship.
