No Joy for Andy & Gulf Racing in the SPA 24 Hrs Race

WRDA member Andy Meyrick ended up frustrated at a rainy Spa Francorchamps on the weekend, after mistakes by team members put both his car and the sister  Gulf Racing Uks' McLaren MP4-12C GT3 out just before the half way mark. Both cars crashing after drifting wide onto the wet astro turf track edging. Embarasingly it was the team co-owners Mike Wainwright &   Roald Goethe  were the drivers in charge at the time! Later Andy said ' It was a hard way for us to end the race. Luckily both Mike and Roald are fine. It was a stunning effort by the whole Gulf Racing crew .'

Gulf Racing UK is a privately-owned racing team based in the UK. Owner-driver principals Mike Wainwright (GB) and Roald Goethe (D) are long-time friends and business associates with a shared passion for GT racing, who are based in Switzerland and Dubai respectively. The team is operated and managed by the hugely experienced Team Manager David Price from a base in southern England.
