Richard rounded out the 2008 Formula Renault Eurocup championship with a further couple of points in the final race at Barcelona, setting the fastest lap of the race and finishing 9th to follow on from his 2nd place in Valencia to end up as the top British scorer in the series. Formula Renault Eurocup is one of the most
competitive championships for young drivers in the world and over the winter Richard will be working to raise extra cash and sponsorship. "I'd like to do the Eurocup again and try for the championship but it all depends on finding the finance" In the meantime Richard has been invited to take part in the Porsche Scholarship programme over the winter which will give him experience in sportscar racing.
