Unfortunately the lack of overtaking places on the tight Brands Hatch club circuit meant that although there was little to choose between the cars at the end, with Richard had no option but to bring the car home without damage.Sundays practice and race were equally frustrating as Paul, Richards father explained. "The track was drying and Richard missed the best laps. It was just one of those calls. Richard himself admitted he made the wrong choice and should have tried to get in some quick laps early on, instead of trying to come in to adjust the car" However despite qualifying in11th he got a good start but further progress was halted after the car lost power when the exhaust manifold cracked. With the car hobbled Richard could only finish 10th ; a disappointing end to a weekend that started brightly, and he can only hope that his misfortunes have been left behind him. The next rounds in the series are at Donington Park on 8th and 9th September
