There are High Hopes of more major high
profile success in the crucial GP3 championship after the Welsh
Trio of Seb Morris, Matt Parry & Jan Mardenborough blitzed day
one of the final pre-season test ahead of the first GP3 races at
Barcelona on 08-10 May, as part of the Spanish Grand Prix
package. Although testing is different from actual
Qualifying And Racing Seb (@SebMorris31), Jann (@
Jannthaman) & Matt @Mattparryracing) blitzed GP3 testing at
Barcelona with a Welsh 1-2-3 at the end of day one! They then
backed that up with solid performances on day 2 with Jann less
than 3/10ths of a second away from the fastest representative
time, and both Seb & Matt close and both less than ½ a second
away from the fastest representative time and all 3 of them in
the top 10!

Morris who is with Status Grand Prix seemed pleased with the
progress he made during the 2 day Official test. 'It was a
really positive day today, P5 at the end of the Official GP3
Test Day with Status Grand Prix. On to Barcelona!'
At the same time Matt (Korianen Racing),
who went through the MSA Team UK programme at the same time as
Seb, showed he has a
wicked sense of humour by posting this ‘ Me and
my fellow Welsh bro
@sebmorris31 - Seb had just finished
telling me how long it took him to do his hair in the morning!
Seb also showed he was up for a laugh by
replying ‘Hahahaha - we noted that
Matt was also a bit tanned. Sunbed anyone....

Meanwhile Jann Mardenborough who was
quickest of all in the first session on day 1 in
his Carlin run car, was happy to be 2nd
quickest over the 2 days! This will the Janns 2nd
year in GP3, and he will be hoping to push on having won the
Sprint race at last years’ German Grand Prix!
