Andy and Bentley set for the ADAC Zurich Nürburgring 24-Hour Race!  Report by Rob Allender

Andy Meyrick will get re-acquainted with the classic German Nordschleife circuit this weekend as part of the 2 car Bentley team taking one of the greatest challenges in World motorsport! Andy qualified to race in the 24hr race by taking part in a series of 6 hour races in 2011 http://www.andymeyrick.com/news/view/37 but didn’t then take part in the race. However after this weekend Andy, will now have raced in all the greatest 24 hour races, having already raced in the 24hr races at Le Mans, Daytona and Spa Francorchamps! But the ADAC Zurich 24hr race must be the greatest challenge in motorsport today with over 170 cars on the entry list, ranging from the GT3 class (from which the winner is expected), to a humble Golf GTI! The Nordschleife  (north curve) is 20.8 km (12.9 mi) long with approx. 170 corners, and has more than 300 metres (1,000 feet) of elevation change from its lowest to highest points!  (Jackie Stewart nicknamed the old track "The Green Hell") The cars will race in British Racing Green, a traditional colour for a Bentley. The ADAC Zurich 24hr race runs 4pm CET Saturday 16th May to 4pm Sunday 17th on the combined Nordschleife and Grand Prix track. The Nürburgring in now owned by Düsseldorf-based Capricorn Developments
