Julian Westwood picks up some
silverware, but tough times for Seb, Jake, &
Andy at Spa

Welsh drivers including
Seb Morris, Jake Rattenbury, Julian Westwood &
Andy Meyrick were in action this weekend at Spa, but only Julian
tasted success.
Seb Morris was in action in the latest rounds of the
the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup, and Jake
Rattenbury drving a
Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560 was
in action in the Lamborghini Trofeo Europe,
which are part of the support package to the main
business of the weekend, the Total Oils 24 Hours of Spa
which is a round of the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series,
the 90th anniversary of the Belgian endurance classic, but
neither driver had a lot to write home about! Seb had a
dsappointing race, with steering problem & then got wiped out.
However an unfortunate start
saw damage and unscheduled pit stops to both Bentley cars
within the first two hours! Starting the race in P6 after the
first two hours saw the cars having to fight back from P50! and
P55. The chequered flag saw the 7 car of Guy Smith, Andy Meyrick
and Steven Kane finish P13.With no mechanical issues during the
race, the Continental GT3’s performance and reliability proved
itself.

The race was split into sections with points being scored
at 6, 12 & 24 hours so wereplenty
points to be scored!

loving student Jake Rattenbury has proved there is a
serious side to his racing, having topped 3 podium places in
a row by winning his class at Paul Ricard and is now in 3rd
place in the AM Class!
