British Grand Prix Heroes 2013
Rob Allender reports on Mark Martins list of British drivers
Blogger Mark Martin has set out the top 10 British Grand Prix
Heroes as voted by a panel of experts (including yours truly!
lol).

The list includes includes our own Tom Pryce, who started from
pole and lead the 1975 British Grand Prix on slick tyres in
treacherous conditions, only to become one of 14 drivers to
crash before the race was red flagged, as there were no cars
left on the track! Earlier in the year Tom won the F1 Race of
Champions at Brands Hatch, when it was a very big deal indeed!
The photo shows Tom (or Maldwyn as he was know to his family and
friends)with the trophy as the only Welshman so far to win a
Formula One race! Lets hope it's not too long before the current
crop of young drivers can go one better, including WRDA Young
Driver of the Year Seb Morris, Jake Rattenbury, or Matt Parry
(currently with Fortec in Euro Renault) who are all in the frame
to emaulate or even better Tom achievements
. Good Luck lads!
