Seb quick in testing and looks forward to round 1 at Snetterton

Teenage Welsh racer & WRDA member Seb Morris confirmed his billing as a potential challenger for the 2012 Protyre Formula Renault BARC
Championship title after posting the third fastest time during official testing at Silverstone recently, just 0.2 seconds behind the fastest time, and only 0.7 seconds inside the existing lap record!

The 2011 Ginetta Junior Champion said “Third is ok but we should have been quicker. I was first early on but problems with the car meant I slipped to third. I’m still happy with that though, the car is really good. We ended the day with a good set-up and I’m feeling confident going into the first races. It feels good to have been third on the timesheets against people who have been racing in Formula Renault BARC for two or three years.

It should be a really close season this year, Silverstone National is obviously one of the smallest tracks we visit so the times are tight – on the longer tracks I’m hoping I can have a bit more of an advantage. I’m hoping at Snetterton we can achieve a podium and I’d like to think we can try and fight for a win, it’s a great place to start the season off so I’m really looking forward to it.”

The Snetterton 200 Circuit in Norfolk will play host to the first three rounds of the 2012 Protyre Formula Renault BARC
Championship over the Easter weekend. Qualifying and the opening race of the season will take place on Saturday, 7th April, at
09.50 and 14.15 respectively with rounds two and three following on Easter Sunday, 8th April, at 11.35 and 17.05.
