Alvin Powell had a mixed weekend at Silverstone in the Classic festival.

Driving his Ford Mondeo in the David Leslies Memorial Trophy Races for Touring Cars, electrical problems hampered him in Race 1 but he was an excellent 5th in race 2, just behind Keith Butchers and Dave Jarman in their Nissan Primeras'. Former WSSCC contender Dave, won Race 1 and followed up by getting on to the podium again after race 2. Other former WSSCC competitors Ken Rattenbury & Ted Williams were there too. Ken was 13th & 16th but Ted posted a DNF in both races.
