Whale & Dolphin Watching Boat Trips

Andy Meyrick & Hwyel Lloyd maintained their places in the points standing in the National Class of the British Formula 3 Championship after a weekend of mixed fortunes at Snetterton. Once again there was rain at a Formula 3 round and Saturdays practice sessions were both wet. Andy was 22nd and 24th out of 27, and Hywel was last in session 1, but improved to be next to last in session 2.

In Race 1 on Sunday whilst Meyrick pulled up to 14 overall & 2nd in the National Class, it seemed as if luck as well as the elements were against Lloyd as he limped back to the pits minus his rear wing on the first lap! "I lost the back end in the 2nd corner, someone tagged me and I lost my rear wing. I managed to limp back to the pits and we fitted a new one, and I went back out to try and see if I could get some points". By this time he was a long way back but soldiered on, although in the end he did not do enough laps to qualify as a finisher. "There was probably some other damage as I had a problem getting into 6th gear"

However the 2nd race of the weekend showed fortunes had been reversed and Meyrick dropped out bit it proved to be better as Lloyd showed some of the Monza spirit as he pulled up from 26th on the grid to finish in 15th place overall and 3rd in the National Class! "The 2nd race was a lot better for me. There seemed to some problem with the lights, but everyone started to go anyway, and I made up a lot of places on lap 1 and quite a few more on lap 2. Considering we were so hopeless in qualifying it was a nice suprise. We were all a bit shocked to get 3rd after the weekend we had , but I am certainly glad it was dry for the races."
