Hywel Lloyd to star on BBC Wales TV programme Sport Wales
Double Formula Renault Champion Hywel Lloyd will be showing the WRDA off
to good effect on BBCs new flagship sports programme Sport Wales.
Sport Wales is BBC Wales' weekly sports
magazine, is on every Thursday at 10.00 pm on BBC Two Wales & BBC 2W. Hosted by
Jason Mohammed (left) it gives vewiers a chance to catch up with the biggest and best
stories in Welsh sport and the Sports Wales crew recently spent the whole day with
the Corwen hard charger.
Harry, Hywels dad said "We thought they were only
going to spend an hour with us but in the end they spent all day. They got so much good
footage that they said they will keep it and do a whole programme on him!"
After winning both the
2007 BARC Formula Renault Championship and the BARC Winter Series, Hywel has been voted as
Top Club Racer of the Year by a prestigous Motor Sport publication, so he is getting
plenty of publicity. Next season will see him move to the Graduate Class in the Lloyds TSB
Insurance British Formula 3 Championship, which is the first time since
the late 1980s that a Welshman has raced in Formula 3. On that occasion Caerphilly's
Julian Westwood was partnered by Alain Menu but Hywel will be moving up with the family
run CF Racing Team. Harry confirmed "We've got a good team here and we hope to carry
the success forward"
