Thomas Richardson was the class of the field on Saturday taking Pole Position in the Nemesis RME02, when it was his turn to drive, and then blasting to win by almost 20 seconds from Peter Williams, with Ginger Marshall, and Huw Williams with similar distances between them. Keith Butcher had a terrific dice with rapid visitor Joss Ronchetti and his quick Talbot Lotus Sunbean. Nigel Bowen and Andrew Williams also had a close dice with Nigel coming out on top after an incident at Hatchets. Rhys Lloyd won Class B ahead of Adrian Chapman who was reunited with the Stryker and the final finisher Dominic Edgell and his Rover Gti.

Sundays Entry & Practice

Peter Williams was on Pole for Sundays race, ahead of Ginger Marshall and Huw Willaims who were all under 60 secs. Tony Michael (it was his turn to drive the Nemesis RME02) was 6th behind Keith & Andy Williams. Rhys lloyd has 7th ahead of Nigel Bowen with Adrian Chapman 10th and Richard MacVean and Paul Gibbs completing the grid

The race - 15 mins + 1 lap

Peter Williams got off to good start and took the lead that he held until the end, but the man on the rise was Tony Michael who was 4th at the end of the first lap behind Huw with Ginger give Peter the hurry up in 2nd. Peter passed Huw on lap 3 and set after Ginger picking him off a few laps latter and then closing on Peter. With the bit between his teeth he slashed the gap and was right on his tail at the end of lap 8, before fading away. Tony made a pit stop and did one slow lap before posting the races only retirement, a sad reward after such a stirring effort. Meanwhile Huw jumped Ginger to take second place but Peter now had the race under control and took the flag 10 seconds in front of Huw making it a Radical 1-2 for the first time in along time. Ginger at least finished the race in 3rd place, ahead of Keith with fellow Class D runner Nigel Bowen. Andrew Williams in 6th was the sole Class C runner ahead of Class B winner Rhys Lloyd and final Classified finisher Adrian ‘Class D’ Chapman.

Paul Gibbs soldiered on to be the last runner but sadly posted a DNC in the 216 Gti.

Well it was nice to see the Visitors going so well, but we need a big grid for the Pembrey finale on 20 / 21 October which is a double points round, and that and the jokers that other drivers still have to play could be vital.

In the meantime the next races are trek-away rounds starting with Oulton Park 11th August, Silverstone INT 25/26th August, Brands Hatch 8th September, Silverstone Nat 29th September DH
